David Pugh a museum curator at Rochdale introduces the Revealing Histories project and the events and museum objects held at Rochdale and Oldham.

He describes the flour barrel sent to feed starving cotton workers in the north west of England at the time of the American Civil War and the Lancashire cotton famine.
