The development of societies through from hunter gatherers to feudalism to capitalism is raised, as well as the existence of slavery in Roman times.
The types of slavery in Africa - where slaves could work their way out of slavery - is noted.
Different forms of slavery existing at different times in history are noted. The key is that there have always been forms of oppression.
More time needs to be spent defining and describing different forms of slavery.
Slavery introduced concepts of 24 hour labour and factories that heralded the Industrial Revolution.
